My granddaughter, age 9, collects Webkinz. I had ordered this along with several other items from this seller, Collectors Paradise. She loved everything.

Although Webkinz's are toys, my granddaughter has learned a great deal about money by using the internet and registering the toys. I never realized just how much she learned until I sat down with her and watched what all transpires after the animal is registered. They have to be fed, clothed, etc. In order to do that certain things must be done to earn "money" in order to buy the food and accessories. It was an eye opener for me. I thought they were only "toys."

I had to laugh because my granddaughter had to be away for a couple of days and had asked her father to "take care of the pets." If they aren't taken care of such as feeding, they will become "ill." I found him logging on to the Webkinz and feeding the pets for her! Yes, she is serious about taking care of them. It truly has been a learning experience for her.

What's so great about Perquackey?? It's loads of fun for all the reasons others have mentioned. I bought my first Perquackey game as a young mother, around 1970. My children were too young to play it, but my husband and I enjoyed it immensely. When my college-age brother came to visit for a week, we played it constantly! As my 4 sons grew, we continued to play it. The game ended up in my 3rd grade classroom, and the students gradually wore it out. My 16 year old granddaughter recently came to stay with us for a week. I immediately thought of my old friend, Perquackey. I hunted it down on Amazon, and she loved it! She's a 4.0 student, but I watched as she developed and used the word building skills that Perquackey provides . . . using consonant blends, suffixes, endings, vowel blends, and other common letters that often go together to build longer and longer words. It's not that Perquackey is just fun . . . it's really an educational tool. At age 70, I still love playing Perquackey! What's so great about Perquackey . . . Fun and learning for kindergarteners through Senior Citizens . . . how can you beat that??!
