We bought this mp3 player for our 18mo old son who likes to listen to music. He can sit with this thing for 20 minutes or longer, pressing the buttons and occasionally listening to a whole song (mostly, he loves the buttons!). We can almost always use it to calm him down or divert his attention when he wants to get himself into something he's not supposed to be doing. He's dropped it a number of times, and it always keeps on working.

The playlist feature is a little annoying for adults, since you can only hit "next song"--in other words, you can't search the list looking for a particular song. But that's a very small price to pay considering how useful this player has been for us.
